DESCRIPTION:
We all know that the world is on the brink of destruction. If we look at ourselves, our family and friends, our neighbors, we can all see that our response isn’t on the same level as the threat. The problem is enormous, and most people are acting like deer in headlights. Too stunned, too bewildered to move. And possibly, we are not doing as much as we should because we don’t want to give up the luxuries and comfort we have, and the sacrifices we might have to make seem overwhelming. We all know manufacturing snowboards, or manufacturing anything for that matter, is not technically GOOD for the environment. In fact, aside from walking around naked, planting trees, and not consuming anything until you died of starvation, nobody can do anything that is 100% good for the environment. However, appreciating nature is an integral aspect of enjoying snowboarding. In general, people that enjoy the great outdoors want to make responsible decisions and realize that not being able to do 100% good, does not mean that we shouldn’t make our best efforts to improve upon the status quo. With The Green Machine, by using the “greenest” materials available, we have done everything we can to produce the least enviromentally harmful snowboard. The research for new processes and materials will continue as we try to lessen our impact. We’re not going to save the world, but we can accept the responsibility to make informed, educated steps to minimize the negative impact we make. Besides, the graphics are sweet. Geronimo + crazy snarling tiger head + fancy gypsy hat? What?! That’s almost as cool as Kayne West on a track bike in space.
