DESCRIPTION:
The most technically advanced board on the market, the Darkhorse is a freeriding machine. We use a full sheet of carbon fiber to add stiffness and pop that is lightweight. A row of Dyneema is used to wrap the core, providing strength where you need it the most. Not for the weak, this board handles like a Ferrari - don’t even bother unless you’re going to ride it like one. Limited Edition - Hand numbered from the factory.

Strengths: Ridden 16 days in total. Ridiculously fast board. Holds an edge like no other. Due to old age and injuries, I`ve "downgraded" to a Burton Custom X for a cruisier ride. That tells you all you need to know about the Darkhorse.

Strengths: Fast hard carver. This was the best board I ever owned, I broke mine years ago, a sad day. Never found another board that equals it. Wish I could find one for sale, I`d be all over it.
Weaknesses: This board will chuck you if you`re not ready for how hard it will turn on the edge.

Strengths: this board retains its power in a huge powder day turn, i find you get allot more speed out of the turns on this sweet machine, carves well on piest, responds on demand, i use it for free ride
Weaknesses: stress fractures easy on top sheet, i had one sent back from season in chamonix, and they returned a new one the next season for me so i was in heaven but the same problem has happened , now they dont make tghem but im holding onto it as my best ride ive ever had board.

Strengths: Nitro makes a really good board. I have three of them--a 160 SupraTeam, 165 naturals and a 165 Darkhorse. The company helps to keep all the others on their toes with products like these. This is a killer board that keeps wanting more of whatever you can dish out. From back country kickers to just cruising the runs, and even kicks ass in the park, but I use the SupraTeam for that kind of fun (more flex and forgiving). But this board is the cornerstone of the collection and goes with me everywhere!! Peace
Weaknesses: Could be lighter, but so could all the boards on the market. Floats in powder and tends to make people jealous they don't have one. Peace

The best of the best, the Darkhorse is not for the timid rider. This board uses a Hypracore 7+, for the ultimate in rider response. It’s so light; you won’t believe how strong it is - which is why Nitro backs it with a two-year warranty. If you’re an aggressive all-mountain rider the Darkhorse is the board for you More»

Strengths: This is the most aggresive board I have ever ridden, It is incredibly light and the response from edge to edge is quite simply mind blowing. This board combined with Burton C16/ C60 simply puts any all mountain freeriding board to bed. No sooner you think about doing something and the board has already reacted. The base is fantastic, it keeps up speed through all snow types powder, ice, spring slush no issue. The rigidity of this board also keeps it in check when powering through turns, the edges eat through ice like it was freshly packed snow. This board is simply unstoppable with unbeleivable control it just begs for more speed and aggression, therefore this board is not for the faint hearted. When i say you need to be a seasoned rider to get the best out of this i mean it. there is no letting up as soon as you relax and take your foot of the pedal this board will bite you in the A#s.
Weaknesses: The base, although it really goes I fin it incredibly fragile, I have hit two small rocks on landing and torn out two enormous chunks of the base, the only thing that I can say is that this boards Edges are a dream come true as on both occaissions the gauge ran along the edge but they stayed firm. and the board has been repared and back to new. But the only gripe is with the base, way to soft. Saying that Mine is the original 2003/2004 edition and perhaps they firmed up the mix. All in all the most amazing board on the planet!
