During construction, resin locks the dense wood fibers in place, forming a structural component that generates the Draft’s specialized flex. The inlay’s tapered shape produces a torsionally softer tip & tail, while increasing longitudinal return. Koa or “warrior” wood was first used 1,000 years ago by the Hawaiians to build the first surfboards.
