For ’09 we made some updates and improvements to this team favorite, because like them, we are never satisfied. The AT’s new 14% glass-filled Nylon Ventilated hiback, has been re-engineered, and mounted with our new Free+ Snaplock for enhanced performance and adjustability. Synchronous Length Adjustment (SLA) means proper adjustment in half the time. You also get superior cushioning from the Cush Pad basepad, and the two EVA-loaded independently-adjustable toe and heel landing pads. Strengths: Flow finally lightened up! Still all the benefits of Flows: quick in and out, spreading pressure over your entire foot instead of just to your toes, and they don`t feel like concrete blocks anymore. The aluminum baseplate is awesome! Even easier to adjust than before. Really diggin these new bindings.
Weaknesses: the ratchets are a great idea, but they don`t work as well as they should. The straps on mine take some doing to get into the slots in the top of the I-Flex... pretty much just an aesthetic thing though.
